Welcome to my portfolio

Hello, I’m Adam currently working as a Brand Designer, helping established business owners get the banking they deserve with Allica Bank. I’ve been in the creative industry for over a decade, spanning both nimble start-ups and established global corporations.

Background

Originally from the shire of Hertford, I grew up and studied Graphic Design at school and college. After my studies I took on a trainee design role with Ocado’s in-house comms team. This gave me my first gig at learning and understanding design. As Ocado grew, new opportunities arose, which included transitioning into a more technology focused role and being the sole point of contact for design for Ocado Technology.

After spending a number of years, the team grew around me and a new adventure over in the Brand team came about. This is where I grasped the difference between Brand and Design – I spent three years developing the Ocado Group brand as they became an international name for warehouse technologies.

what3words is where my where my start-up career began, working as a member of the marketing function within the studio. A fast paced environment which enabled me to work on a whole breadth of touchpoints, including stands for CEX in Las Vegas, photoshoots for OOH collaborations with Yodel and Regatta and learning skills from some amazing people from all parts of the world.

After eighteen months of start-ups, I took up an opportunity to help out a completely different kind of team that helped with high profile bids at Savills. Creating a holistic brand piece for London skyscrapers to creating documentation for projects in the Middle-East.

I now find myself being the leading brand designer for Allica, a FinTech challenger bank which has seen exponential growth in its short life. I was brought in to help lead the rebrand which saw the inclusion of its very own orange bowler hat, but also steer the ship for all things design for studio production.

Aside from work, I am a keen traveller, football mad and love trying my hand at all things DIY.
